ABOUT

Ryan began his career as a trainer in 2003 while finishing up his undergrad at McDaniel College (Exercise Science).  Ryan’s injury plagued basketball career led to his interest in rehab and sports performance.  Over the next seven years, Ryan gained experience in the industry in various settings such as corporate fitness, sports performance training, and consulting.  After seeing many shortcomings in the industry, Ryan’s detail oriented mentality and passion for helping others fueled his desire to open Peak in 2010.
Since then Ryan has been preaching and practicing outside of the industry “norm” to address clients’ needs through detailed needs analysis, custom program planning and application through a variety of tools such as movement re-education, data driven conditioning, nutrition coaching, strength training, etc.  As a coach, Ryan develops strategies to maximize the customer experience by utilizing the strengths of the Peak training team and specializations of our affiliate providers.

ABOUT

Maureen “Bean” Dupcak has been with Peak since its inception in 2010.  She was drawn to the industry and to Peak with her desire to teach and help others with their athletic goals and overall fitness and wellness needs.  The combination of her vast and high level sports experience, extensive coaching background and education in movement quality have given Bean unique knowledge and perspective on athlete training.  Her move to lifetime sports and other activities outside the competitive arena make it easy for her to understand and relate to adults who want to stay active and mobile, prevent and/or recover from injury, reduce pain, and gain strength and stability.

As an athlete, Bean has won championships at the international, college, and high school levels.  She has earned All-American honors at the collegiate and high school levels and has been inducted into the Potomac Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame.  Bean’s coaching experience includes division I women’s college lacrosse for 7 years (1 NCAA championship, 2 conference Coach of the Year awards), highschool lacrosse for 10 years, and youth field hockey and lacrosse for 12 years.  Today she continues to coach girls high school club lacrosse and referees girls youth lacrosse.  Bean also keeps active playing tennis, golfing, running and strength training.

“My passion is coaching and I get to do that everyday at Peak.  I’m impressed by the competitive athletes in the gym - the improvements they make and what they accomplish.   I’m inspired by the older clients at Peak who workout several times a week and continue to improve their strength, stability and mobility.”
