Tommy Barzal

Tommy is a former varsity baseball player and team captain while attending Annapolis Area Christian School.  He would then attend the University of Maryland where his passion for exercise grew.  After suffering a sports-related knee injury that sidelined him, Tommy realized the need for proper biomechanical exercise and the role it plays with regards to injury prevention.  Tommy followed his passion and pursued his degree in Kinesiology from College Park.

After college, Tommy continued his education in the field with a job at Annapolis Family Physical Therapy.  There he was able to get hands on experience working with Physical Therapists to treat chronic and acute injuries.  While Tommy was learning on the fly, he applied his new skills to his personal training clients.  His unique work experience along with a degree in the field gives Tommy a thorough understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation that most trainers do not possess.

Tommy is now going into his third year as a trainer with experience working with teens through seniors.  He has trained individuals with a wide variety of goals, fitness levels, and backgrounds.    Tommy specializes in functional training for all ages and levels as well as baseball and soccer specific training.
