Ruthie was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland.  Growing up, she was a competitive swimmer, rower, and coxswain.  After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Ruthie started her professional career as a business consultant with Deloitte Consulting.

While Ruthie was always active, she became increasingly interested in nutrition and the gym when a college friend introduced her to weight training and world of female fitness models.  Following names like Jamie Eason and Alicia Marie, Ruthie was intrigued by their strength and beauty.  For years, her goals included learning as much as possible about training and eating to compete in the bikini and figure divisions of female bodybuilding competitions.

Through her experiences with Deloitte, Ruthie also learned the importance of balance and well-being.  In order to meet the demands of her consulting job, it became more and more vital to properly nourish and recover.  While working for a client in Austin, Texas, Ruthie discovered the physical and mental benefits of yoga.

Ruthie's health and fitness interests continued to grow from a hobby into a passion.  She envisioned a career and life in which she could dedicated herself to learning and living a happy, healthy, well-balanced life and using her knowledge and experience to help others do the same.

  • National Academy of Sports Medicine, Certified Personal Trainer
  • Poliquin Group, Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (PICP Level 1 & 2)
  • 500 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor
  • Institute of Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach

Ruthie has experience working in a variety of different settings: teaching yoga and fitness classes, conducting group/partner training sessions, training/instructing individuals one-on-one, and serving as a health coach.  Because of her vast background and skill set, Ruthie is prepared to work with clients of all ages and abilities.
