Health and fitness are comprised of many interrelated components. In order to improve your results from exercise and achieve your goals, multiple components often need to be addressed. PEAK is the only training facility in Annapolis that works directly with on-site physical therapists to provide clients with an integrated approach to their health and fitness needs.
Dr. Kim Shemer Kurtzman moved to Annapolis from New York City in 2013, where she spent the previous decade keeping the lights of Broadway bright. As director of Performing Arts Physical Therapy and later in her own Manhattan practice, Kim worked onsite daily at over 50 Broadway shows, with the Radio City Rockettes and Paul Taylor Dance Company. With a full body approach to rapid treatment and prevention of injuries, Kim was able to keep professional actors, dancers and musicians onstage every night. Through this work, Kim has become skilled in treating nearly all orthopedic injuries, but she particularly excels at chronic back, pelvis and hip pain, as well as failed cases of injuries treated by traditional physical therapy methods. She has brought her special knowledge and unique approach to her practice in Annapolis.
